Peter Van Tricht doesn’t like to call himself a photographer - he prefers to see his work as that of a storyteller. He narrates stories of hope, loneliness, longing, passion and joy. But he isn’t a writer either.These stories aren’t told through words, because he feels words are too precise, too defined and they don’t leave enough room for the imagination.

Instead Peter decides to use imagery to state his tales. The light is his ink. Light is always around, always present. At times the light is cold and blue, other times it can feel warm and inviting. The landscapes and sites are his paper, since they interact with the light. They constitute the material on which these stories are created. Finally, the endless possibilities of expression of the human body are his crayons. The human figure and form are the most wonderful instruments to spin these tales. They show the words that Peter and his models do not wish to speak. If you open your imagination, you will hear those words.
